Buying glasses in Korea

One German exchange student, who studies at CNU since last year, told me he bought new glasses in Korea; the price was cheaper than new glasses in Germany. I was thinking about getting new glasses for a while now and a view weeks ago I went to the optician with one of my Korean friends. Why not take the chance and save money? (-o⌒)

We went to the shop "Look optical" in Gung-dong, near the CNU campus. It's right at the corner of Rodeo Street. I got sunglasses and a pair of normal glasses. The latter are a Korean design. It took me a while to find them. Most of  the typical Korean glasses (nerd-style) are too big or the form doesn't fit my face.
The following glasses are popular in Korea. These are Duolite glasses and the colorful inside of the frame give an interesting touch.

The optician also showed me the latest trend - glasses with camouflage look. But unfortunately, they looked terrible on my face (´Д`。)

The thick black frames didn't fit my face and blond hair. But I was lucky to find brown ones. It's a light plastic frame, and the sides of the frame are in a wooden style.

My sunglasses are from Sisley.

Another advantage of buying glasses in Korea is, that you can have normal glasses ready within an hour, if they need to be adjusted to your vision. My sunglasses took a week to finish. In Germany you normally have to wait for at least a view weeks.
Be sure to bring someone who speaks Korean if you want to check your eye sight (for free).

Altogether, I paid around 310.000KRW, which is approx. 210€. In Germany I would have paid at least double the price. Thank you Korea for this practical souvenirs  (。♥‿♥。)
